| After the previous ship has been floated out of the building dock the water is pumped out and the blocks are lined up ready for the next ship. |  |

When the lining up of the blocks is completed the aft section is placed in the dock and carefully aligned.

| This is a close up view of typical arrangement of main ballast suction pipes with cast iron bell mouths.
