Vessel entering Sydney harbour

This photo and the one below were taken from the Eastern City. Both ships were loading on the Houston ship canal near  Galveston sometime in Sept. /Oct. 1967. Copyright © Colin Gateshill.

I seem to recall being at this elevator a couple of times. It was within walking distance of the obelisk which was the memorial for the battle of San Jacinto. I also remember the old USS Texas being in a special dock just up the road. Copyright © Colin Gateshill.
