The ship is being towed out of the building dock early afternoon on Friday 23 April 1976.

The gantry on the fo'castle is a temporary structure to be used for lining up the windlass and mooring winches.

Only the top bow area has been painted black and the name has been painted only on the bow.
It was normal procedure to have the naming ceremony before the ship was floated out.

RSL decided not to have a naming ceremony due to the cost of holding it in Copenhagen.
