I was Master of the "Victoria City" from October 1978 to March 1979. Joined in Singapore thence Kunsan/Pusan/. T/C to Suma and proceeded H.K. to load containers for Hamburg/Esbjerg? I'm not sure if the photo was when I was there as she could have made another trip for Suma. On redelivery, we proceeded out to NOLA, loading back to Antwerp. Furthermore, closer examination of the photo indicates she is under way with a Suez searchlight hanging over the bow(as with the other ship in the frame). I therefore suggest it was taken at Suez, North bound. John Cann. Posted on forum 3 November 2013. If I remember the picture was taken from the Devon City as we transited North though the canal in Mid to late December 1978 having just discharged pipes at the oil fields 100 miles South of Suez.
