Bob Butcher
After following the site for a few months, and the interest shown by my son Mike recently, I feel it time to put finger to keyboard and join in the fun. After taking redundancy from RSL in october 1983, I started work in early 1984 at the semi-conductor plant on the outskirts of Newport, and remained there till retirement in march 2004. I still think of the many good times that I had aboard those ships and the many friendships made.
I am keeping in good health enjoying life and hopefully look to make some contact with people from those many happy days with RSL.
Recently saw Malcolm Rayner in M&S in cardiff, and also spoke to Bob Rees via e-mail who now lives in France.
Also some 6years ago, had a very enjoyable week with Jon Hewson and his family out in Dubai.
