Frank Renton
CAPTAIN Francis William Renton "Frank" June 3rd, 1924 - December 25, 2014 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Frank. Devoted husband to Lilian, caring father to Neil (Linda) and Jane (Brook), grandchildren; Neil Jr., Mitchell and Jennifer. Frank had a vast career on the water from deckhand to Master Mariner and then many years on the waterfront here in B.C. He had a passion for hockey and a special talent for catching Tyee Salmon. Vancouver was where he wanted to drop his anchor for the final time. A memorial service will take place on January 5th at 1:30pm at Highlands United Church in North Vancouver. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation for the BREATH Program. Posted in the Vancouver newspaper. |

some of you may well remember the pile of Sulphur at Vancouver Wharves on the North Shore just inside the Lions gate Bridge. As you can see it's still there!......plus the seabus running back and fore from downtown next to the Cruise Ship Terminal.
