David Hartshorne

Have just received the news that David Hartshorne passed away at 1410 hrs today 31st March 2015. Farewell to a good Shipmate. Tony Lightfoot.

I will forever miss my wonderful friend, who always stayed in contact with me for 35 years even after TMM went away and pulled out of the far east trade and TASA folded. Becky Mabire.

Both Marian and I are greatly saddened to learn that David has died. I sailed many times with him and knew him to be a worthy shipmate who ran his department with efficiency and humanity. Our condolences to his family. Bryan Boyer.

I would like to add my condolences to the family of Dave. I sailed with Dave quite a few times on TMM ships and found him an excellent shipmate. RIP Dave. Tex Graham-Russell.

Sad news indeed, a great colleague and always fun to be around, not to mention a first class Ch Steward. I was fortunate enough to catch up with Dave several times in the early 90's post CSM during his time with Cable and Wireless ( his vessel was laid up in Avonmouth ), great times.
