Posting a new message or replying
These instructions are intended to help you to put your message in the right place on the Forum. If you find them difficult to understand then just post your message and one of the moderators will sort it out.
Even if you are not too familiar with computers just treat it the same way as you would in sending an email. It is no more difficult.
If you are posting a new message then please check to see if there is already a heading on the Forum which would suit your message. At the moment there are headings for several ships so if you are sending a message relating to say the "Prince Rupert City" then please add your message to that so they all remain together, and easy for others to find.
Open the
first message and click on "Respond to this message". When you post the message then it will appear at the bottom of the thread and the whole thread of messages will move to the top of the page so other members will easily see it.
If you see a message anywhere on the Forum and you wish to answer that message or add to it then click on that message and your new posting will appear just below the message you have replied to. Again the whole thread of messages will move to the top of the page.
Below is an example taken from the Forum for a message regarding the Prince Rupert City.

The next three messages are numbered 1, 2, & 3 and are answers to the main message.
Below No.3 we have one which is numbered 1 and indented and this is a direct reply to No. 3 message.
The last message is also numbered 1 because Mike has responded to the message from Jerry.
If someone then wanted to post a message about the Prince Rupert Cuty but not connected with these other messages then respond to the first message and your posting in this case will show as No.4.
The Moderators from time to time, in order to maintain the continuity of a topic, may move a posting from one thread to another.
