New Westminster City - Launched 14th Jul 1971. Sailed 14th February 1972.
Many thanks for the information regarding the launch dates of the various vessels.
As for the New Westminster City I was sent to the UCS Govan Yard in January 1972
in order to firstly stand by and then sail on the vessel the main reason for the
protracted period of time between the vessel's launch and delivery dates was in
the main caused by the ongoing dispute between the yard's management and the
unions which resulted in the workforce operating under a work to rule system
