I was a teacher and wrote the song for our school resulting in the naming of the "Port Alberni City". I put together a choir and recorded this song. I was invited on board this ship when it came into Nanaimo docks around 1979-80. I just happened to spot Reardon Smith ship lines while on the internet and spotted the name.

On the right is a copy of the words to the song which was in the local Pt. Alberni paper at the time.  For such a small school in a small town this was a very big deal!
