Built in 1928 by Gray at Sunderland for St.Just Steamship Co. 4744 gt: LBP 122.1m: Beam 16.5m. Service Speed 11kts.

1928	King City. Delivered to St. Just Steamship Co.
1940	Attacked and sunk, arguably scuttled, by German Raider Atlantis (ex Hansa Line Goldenfels) in 16.53S:65.17E on 24th.August 1940, whilst on passage from Cardiff to Singapore with a cargo of coal.
