Joined the Azteca 1 as Second Engineer. Good new ship from CSM. Sulzer RTA main engine. Danny Trigg was the Chief and he gave me great support especially with the hydraulic grabs for the cranes which gave us plenty of problems. Ship was basic accomodation wise . Previous trip had built a bar on board which was well appreciated by all.
Paid off in Brasil and joined the Cordoba for my last trip at sea. By that time the Cordoba was falling apart. Nothing worked whereas some things worked on the Tula which was the sister ship,. I liked the Tula. Paul Heyman. Posted on Forum 4 October 2011.
