Blake Carnaffan

It is with regret that we report the passing of Captain Blake Carnaffan on 22 June 1980. Long serving staff will remember Captain Carnaffan, who lived on the north-east coast, as one of the loyal band of offices who served the Company so well in the prewar days, as well as during and after the Second World War. Captain Carnaffen joined Reardon Smith line in 1930 and retired in 1962.
We understand that he had 18 years of happy retirement, but that he had been ill for the last 18 months of that retirement. To Mrs Carnaffan and her family we extend our sincere sympathy at this time.
