Jones Peter

My father John Ivor Jones born in Cardiff went to sea with Reardon Smith aged 14 in 1916 and I have his indentures showing his pay as £40 over the next four years!. I also have an account written by him of the torpedoing of The Coniston Water and the subsequent three days in a lifeboat before coming ashore on Sule Skerry an island in the Outer Hebrides. The account might be of interest to your members. It is also approaching 100 years since the event and I am considering visiting the site in commemoration on 17th June 2017.
