My son Daniel alerted me to this website, though how he found it I don't know.
I don't recall any mention in the "Shipmates" newsletter.
Anyway I retired from the sea in November 2007 and I still live in deepest West Yorkshire about as far away from the sea as you can get. My wife Brenda sends her regards to anyone who remembers her. She did her first trip with me on the Victoria City in 1971 (our honeymoon voyage) when I was 2nd Mate. Brenda and our two children, Kelda and Daniel, were with me on the Prince Rupert City and the Tacoma City and also may have visited on other ships when in the UK/Continent.
It's nice to know there is still a place to keep in touch.
