How to add a photo link to your message

When you have sent a photograph to Mike or Eric then one of them will send you back a link which you can add to your new message.
The code will look something like this:

<img src="http://reardonsmithships.co.uk/images/DSC00003c.jpg" alt="[linked image]">

The only thing that will be different in each link will be the name of the photo which in this case is DSC00003c.jpg
Where it says "Linked image" then you can replace the text with the name of the photo.

If you open the new message or reply that you are going to post then you can start typing your message in the normal way. When you want to insert the image then start a new paragraph and copy and paste the link.
Then start a new paragraph and you can continue typing your message. The paragraph will then give you a space between the text and the photo.
The photo can be at the top of the message, in the middle of the text, or it can be put at the end of the message.

When you have done this you can click on the Preview button and you will see the text with the photo in full view as it will appear in the Forum. If it is OK you can click on the Post button, or use the Edit button to edit it.

Below is a sample message where the photograph is in the middle of the text.

This photo of Alec Osborne and Yamamoto-san of Yokohama Engineering Works was taken in our garden about five years ago.

I used to exchange e-mails with Yamamoto-san several times a year but now he says his English is getting rusty.
